Heart surgery-how is it?

When you are having heart surgery, is there "team" that takes care of you? I though it's jsut one surgeon and nurses. Also, I heard that you wake up with tubes that are placed in yur belly area to drain blood and/or fluid. How's that? Also, will one be on the ventilator for some time while in the I.C.U? Please share your experiences if give gone through open heart surgery.is this all different when it's a child/ teenager involved? I'm asking this because I might have heart surgery in the future.
