Is L'Oreal Paris 'black cafe noir' really black?

I bought two boxes of it yesterdy, for my real hair and extensions. But I don't want tat blueish black that totally RUINS hair! I've been trying to get it to Rachel Weisz's or Camilla Belles color. Is it close? (My hair is a medium blah brown now.)
