Can yugioh GX decks beat yugioh 5Ds decks?

ancient gear are imposible to be competitive like GB,LS,BW,plant or even little city. they just better.as negate atk, magic cylinder are not so popular anymore, ancient gear are not really needed.but it still can prevent your monster form being shrink as they must activate it be4 u atk.i think ancient gear still can beat down decks like ojama
