How long after you're approved for health insurance can you be sick without it being a pre-existing condition?

I just got Kaiser and want to get a physical done because I havent had one in years. And I know they're are a few things wrong with me...am just wonderinf if I go in and they say soemthing is wrong with me so soon after being approved that they would make it into a preexisting condition and deny my coverage.
