How often should clothing be washed?

usually i wear my clothes at least 2-3 times before i wash them but im wonderin if thats too unsanitary, and i only do this becuz im afraid to wear out my clothes if i wash them too much. how often should undergarments be washed? i usually change into new ones every day but im just wonderin wut u guys do
