My linoleum tile is breaking in my apartment will the landlord fix it or do i have too?

My washing machine is broke and one night we washed clothes while we were sleeping. and when we got up the next morning or kitchen floor in our apartment was flooded, because the washer was stuck on rinse and it overflowed all over the floor. Since this happened our tile started coming up and now it is breaking when we walk in there. do i have to fix this or will my landlord fix this.
